Say goodbye to stretch marks with home remedies

70% of non-pregnant women, 90% of pregnant women, and 40% of men get stretch marks, so it wouldn’t be a surprise if you fall among that percentile. While stretch marks aren’t dangerous, they can be very annoying and stubborn since they take a very long time to lighten up and fade.

Therefore, Lifestyle brings you 6 home remedies to help lighten or even get rid of the stretch marks using natural products:

1 – Egg whites

Clean the affected area and apply some whipped egg whites with a brush. Once dry, wash with water and apply olive oil to moisturize. Repeat this process every day until improvements are visible.

Egg whites contain protein and amino acids that aid in getting rid of stretch marks.

2 – Potatoes

Slice some raw potatoes and rub them on the stretch marks. Allow the juice to dry and wash off. Repeat every day until the stretch marks lighten up.

Potatoes contain lightening properties, which light up stretch marks. They also promote healthy skin cell growth.

3 – Castor oil

Massage some castor oil on the affected area, wrap with a cotton cloth, and apply some heat on it for a few minutes. Repeat every day for a month.

Castor oil not only gets rid of stretch marks, but it also removes dark areas, wrinkles, and other skin problems.

4 – Sugar, almond oil, lemon juice

Mix a few drops of lemon juice and almond oil with a tablespoon of white sugar and massage it on the stretch marks. Wash off with warm water and repeat every day.

Sugar exfoliates the skin, lemon lightens the stretch marks, and almond oil contains Vitamin E, which hydrates the skin and promoted collagen production.

5 – Cocoa butter

Simply apply some cocoa butter 2 to 3 times a day on the affected area for a few months. Since cocoa butter moisturizes the skin, it also helps in diminishing stretch marks.

6 – Aloe Vera and Vitamin E

Mix some Aloe Vera gel and oil from10 Vitamin E capsules, and massage into skin daily.

Aloe Vera allows wounds to heal quicker, and since stretch marks are small tears in the dermis, Aloe Vera promotes their repair. It is also a good preventative measure for stretch mark formation.

Lastly, stay hydrated and eat a healthy diet to regain your skin’s elasticity and prevent it from tearing, and exercise daily to improve circulation.

As a result, you can enjoy less visible and faded stretch marks and a smooth and healthy skin!
