SPRING SUMMER 2015 RUNWAY SHOW
THE SPRING SUMMER 2015 COLLECTION EXPLORES THE CODES OF CLASSIC AMERICAN SPORTSWEAR.
The collection begins with a new feminine conservatism that is both sporty and polished, with iconic pieces like blouses, pleated skirts and bomber jackets worked in a restrained color palette of soft and neutral whites contrasted with dark green, navy and chestnut.
Color and print are introduced in Prince of Wales viscose jacquard tech suiting paired with tissue leather in solid and perforated leather. Shiny tissue leather dresses and separates are color blocked in orange and black, white and kelly green, with piped edges and sporty finishings that evoke parkas and anoraks.
Knits are key this season and range from blocked piqué viscose tops, pants and dresses to technical honeycomb separates accented with python, to open crochet dresses and skirts paired with compact crochet tops accented with leather – riffs on the classic polo shirt.
Plaid and argyle motifs are deconstructed as the collection continues. Embroidered knotted leather skirts and tops are paired with exploded plaid t-shirts and skirts created by hand crocheting together laser cut leather that is perforated at the edges. Oversize open argyle knits are paired with woven silk skirts and dresses that are cut on the bias and unravel into deconstructed fringe to create a sense of movement and ease.
