For the upcoming Milan Men’s Fashion Week, Giorgio Armani will host the Miaoran fashion show at the Armani/Teatro. The initiative to support young creativity hence moves forward, now in its thirteenth season.
Miaoran is a young Chinese fashion designer who completed his training in Milan and created his eponymous brand in 2015. Eclectic style and a cross-disciplinary approach are the key features of his creative genius, enabling him to move seamlessly from painting to designing and teaching. Miaoran’s collections are gender blended: oversized volumes and contrasting materials work across the board, exuding both masculine and feminine qualities.
“Discovering new international talents is always interesting and inspiring, because it allows me to explore different ideas and creative styles. The designer I have chosen for this edition is Miaoran and I wish him a long, rewarding career”, said Giorgio Armani.
“I am grateful to Giorgio Armani for his support and for giving me the opportunity to present my collection at his Armani/Teatro. It’s a great honour for a young designer who comes from afar and who has chosen Milan as the place to live and work”, said Miaoran.
