Old Favourite Italian restaurant launches three new Venetian inspired menus

Segreto, the authentically Italian fine dining concept located in Souk Madinat, has launched three exquisite new menus for the summer season, the Segreto Summer À La Carte Menu, the Segreto Summer À La Carte Set Menu, and the Bassano Asparagus Menu, all inspired by authentic Italian cuisine. The new menus, paired with the restaurant’s unique dining setting, promises to transport guests to the rustic-romantic atmosphere of Venice.

Segreto Summer À La Carte Menu

Segreto, meaning ‘secret’ in Italian, has long been a favourite amongst Dubai foodies in the know, and those with an appreciation for the distinct delicacies of Northern Italian cuisine. The new menu highlights an extensive selection of antipasti, homemade pastas, and fresh seafood and meat options, with each new edition prepared using traditional Italian cooking techniques. Patrons can enjoy culinary delights from the antipasti section such as the Insalata Di Gallina; a dish of chicken strips, raisins, vinegar relish, prime leaves, and Asiago cheese mousse. Another highlight from the menu includes the Rana Pescatrice; the slow-baked Monkfish tail complemented by saffron dip, and grilled asparagus. This menu is now available.

Segreto Summer À La Carte Set Menu

For a limited time only Segreto will also be launching a set menu for the summer months. The new à la carte menu crafted by Speciality Chef de Cuisine, Manuel Polin, is inspired by his personal experience of classic Venetian cooking styles, a region known for its fresh seafood and lighter seasonal offerings. Diners can browse a concise selection of dishes reflecting traditional Italian flavours, such as the Carbonara Di Montagna; a dish consisting of organic rigatoni, truffle sabayon, and crispy duck speck. For a sweet finale, a choice of decadent creations: Tiramisu’ Al Caffé, served with hazelnut ice cream. Guests who prefer a more savoury conclusion to their meal will enjoy the artisanal Italian cheese offering. This menu is available from 15 May 2016 – 31 May 2016.

Bassano Asparagus Menu

From April through to May, Bassano Del Grappa, a province just one hour away from Venice, boasts a fine asparagus season. In celebration of this, Segreto has introduced the ‘Bassano Asparagus Menu’, a bespoke menu hosting a selection of enticing asparagus dishes. Savoury Italian flavours include the Trippa Di Baccala; Cod ‘tripe’, micro leaves, and asparagus espuma. The menu also has dishes such as the Uovo Di Anatra, which is pan-fried duck egg, black trumpets soil, duck gel, and steamed asparagus. To complement the selection, Segreto offers diners a selection of Italian wines, ranging from red to white. This menu is available from 12 May 2016 – 22 May 2016.
