INTRODUCING DUBAI’S VERY FIRST HOMEGROWN JAMAICAN RESTAURANT & LOUNGE
Big Tings a Gwaan*! According to a little ‘passa passa’ Dubai’s very first homegrown Jamaican restaurant and lounge is set to take over Downtown Boulevard this April 2016 with its urban tropical vibes!
It is no secret that Jamaicans take serious pride in their cuisine. It’s also no secret that UAE’s foodies and scenesters are always on the look out for the next big thing, have no fear Ting Irie is here! Respect for traditional dishes fused with a penchant for exciting modern twists is that we are all about. And we sure aren’t shy in the kitchen!
“Ting Irie is a fresh modern take on Caribbean Cuisine and food for the soul. We’re not shy about bold flavours or fun modern ideas, but at the same time we have the utmost respect for traditional island ingredients and Jamaican dishes that we have all grown to love.” Executive Chef Craig Wong
Executive Chef Craig Wong incorporates his Jamaican-Chinese heritage along with the techniques and discipline he mastered from years of working in Michelin starred restaurants including, Alain Ducasse au Plaza Athénée and Heston Blumental’s Fat Duck.
Many of the Caribbean ingredients and spices are imported straight from Jamrock – such as Scotch Bonnet peppers and Pimento seeds – while fresh organic produce and meats are sourced locally.
Ya Mon! Ting Irie will take on your palette with no apology. Whether you’ve dropped in for breakfast, lunch, dinner or the monthly ‘nyam n jam’ weekend brunch and barbeque party, Ting Irie cooks with soul.
Whether it’s a night out or a celebration with your nearest and dearest, our famous Jerk Chicken, Jamaican Oxtail, or Beach-shack Lobster are must-haves. And who can say no to our ice-cold coconuts or freshly squeezed tropical fruit juices! Sweet tooths, it’s only a matter of time till you succumb to the fun in our Funnel Cake.
Our team, many of whom have joined from Jamaica, will quickly become your extended family – forever the most excited people in the room to see you…even if it is for the third night in a row!
