Temple Muse

Isharya’s launched its latest Temple Muse collection which is already proving to be a real hit the Middle East, in particular the lightweight Japanese cotton pearls.

The latest collection has been made with rare Japanese Cotton pearls which makes it for a prized collector’s piece.

Cotton pearls are compressed cotton with pearl coating instead of urea resin glass. The cotton Pearl is made from spun cotton, then dipped in a pearl lacquer.

The weight of the beads are much lighter than the usual pearls yet so durable and lightweight.

It’s very fascinating as Cotton pearls were first manufactured in France during the 1800’s and its popularity soared during the art deco period in the US as pearls were very much in vogue and a favorite amongst the elite ladies.

It became very popular in Japan in the 40’s and 50’s, but the trend descended and so did the manufacturing hence making it a rare find. The trend is currently gaining momentum in Japan and worldwide.
