TUMI, the leading international brand of premium travel, business and lifestyle accessories, announces today a new partnership with Waves For Water–a non-profit organization created to bring clean water to every single person in need–and its founder, Jon Rose. This new partnership correlates with the launch of TUMI’s new athleisure Tahoe Collection.

TUMI, along with Waves For Water, believes that everyone in the world deserves access to clean drinking water, and from March 10th- March 20th, will be offering an exclusive opportunity to its customers to join Waves for Water’s mission. TUMI will be giving its customers the ability to donate directly to Waves for Water, to enjoy discounts off their or online purchases that day. All proceeds go directly to support Waves for Water and its global ongoing mission.

TUMI’s new collection represents an updated level of sophistication in engineering, innovation and structural design. The Tahoe Collection’s clean, contemporary aesthetic and refined detailing sets the standard for the brand’s next generation of Global Citizens.

“We always talk about how when we collaborate with someone new, we want it to start with a foundation where you want to become friends, because you share a like-mind coming up with ideas, letting creativity flow back and forth, not worrying about egos,” says TUMI Creative Director Michael Petry. “Not only was the idea to partner organic because Jon is a long time TUMI user and an influential thought leader, but also because TUMI and Waves For Water share similar values, and we’re able to aid this incredible organization’s mission to provide universal access to clean drinking water across the globe.”

Waves For Water works on the front-line to provide clean water to communities in need around the world. In addition to founder Jon Rose’s primary focus of providing access to clean water, his organization has coordinated strategic disaster-relief efforts throughout the world and works directly with world leaders and strategic partners who take a no-nonsense attitude towards facilitating global change.

Jon’s work regularly takes him to remote and rugged locations, and he and his team must travel with luggage that is durable enough to withstand the trip with water filters in tow. On a recent mission to Nepal, TUMI outfitted Rose with several pieces from the Tahoe Collection to provide feedback during the early stages of product development.

“TUMI was already my go-to luggage, so when they mentioned developing this new line of gear, it seemed like a natural partnership,” said Rose, founder of Waves for Water. “The relationship extends beyond product to marketing and employee involvement and is helping to redefine what a traditional charitable alignment looks like.”

The five-piece active, outdoors, everyday-lifestyle inspired Tahoe Collection is casual in composition yet illustrates TUMI’s meticulous attention to detail. Versatile and practical, all styles in the assortment are crafted from a durable coated fabric with leather trim, coated zippers and seam-sealing technology. The Dale Backpack features multiple interior pockets for organization as well as pass-through zipper access joining the front and back compartments. Exterior highlights include compression speed clip closures and compression straps to keep the packed bag compact. An adjustable sternum strap stabilizes weight across the chest while wearing the bag. The Regency Roll-Top Weekender simplifies overnight and weekend travel. A roll top with hidden magnets and compression straps opens to its main compartment featuring several pockets for electronics and accessories.

TUMI’s Tahoe Collection will be available in TUMI stores and select retailers worldwide and at this spring.
