Hollaphonic are back with a new single “Turn The Lights”, featuring The Act’s very own Stephon LaMar via Universal Music MENA.
Hollaphonic’ story thus far is already the stuff of dance music mythology. They defined home-grown Dubaian Dance movement, where the likes of “Runaway” and “Dangerous” helped shape the future of electronic music in the UAE. It was an intimate scene which always proved conducive to collaboration, and soon provided the duo with success on a global scale: Dangerous being played on Capital, BBC Radio 1, BBC Xtra, and Kiss FM and reaching #3 spot on the GLOBAL Shazam ‘Trending Chart’!
It always came back to the dance-floor, to club-culture, and to Hollaphonic: the long-standing friendship between Greg Stainer and Olly Wood who continued to write, perform and bide their time in assembling a stunning new record.
“Turn The Lights” arrives with a bang: a glorious beat and insistent RnB/Pop hook, marking the single an earworm from the first listen!! “This is definitely the perfect next step for us musically after the global success of Dangerous. The smooth RnB Pop vocals from Stephon have gone down a treat and we’ve got a really solid remix package which is already picking up great plays internationally. Now it’s all about us having fun, we’ve proved we can make big records and now we have settled into a groove that means our production, live shows and general feeling is so much more energy packed and positive. We’ve got so much more exciting news to share, but for the time being it’s all about “Turn the Lights Down” and turn the volume UP!” – Hollaphonic
The official video for the single will be out this Friday, March 18th on the boys’ Vevo channel! The single will be available for downloads and streams same day on all digital retailers!
