The splendid Royal Ballroom will turn into a beautiful Gala set up filled with music during the entire night and with F&B packages including a 3 course dinner prepared and served by the remarkable chefs of the One&Only Royal Mirage hotel.
The Dubai Concert Committee was established 20 years ago, on 8 January 1996 under the kind patronage of HH Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed al Maktoum, by Sir Maurice Flanagan the founder of Emirates Airlines, the British Consul General HE Chris Wilton and a group of high profile business people and music lovers to provide the first opportunity to regularly enjoy classical music concerts in Dubai and the Middle East. The Dubai Concert committee – dcc – is since 2009 chaired by Brigitta Dagostin an opera stage director from Switzerland and has provided more than 200 concert’s to over 100’000 classical music lovers.
The Morozov’s Quartet was formed 15 years ago by the violin virtuoso, founder and soloist of the quartet, CEO of M Premiere – Evgeniy Morozov. Each one of them is a graduate of the Belarus Academy of Music and winner of various competitions. As part of various chamber orchestras in America and Europe the members of the quartet have performed with such famous conductors as Herbert Prikopa and Gustav Kunz. Their repertoire ranges from classical, rock, pop and jazz to Latin music. The Morozov’s Quartet will start off the evening and perform some of the masterpieces the classical repertoire has to offer.
One of the highlights of the Gala evening will be the dazzling performance of Soloists of the Moscow Virtuosi Chamber Orchestra. This unique string quintet brought together some of the finest musicians and winners of various national and international music competitions. Led by Grigory Kovalevsky who is an Honored Artist of Russia, soloist, director and one of the founders of Moscow Virtuosi Chamber Orchestra, will perform some of the finest works by Mozart, Boccherini, Rossini, Anderson and Piazzolla.
The Gala evening will be crowned by a spellbinding operatic performance by the German Soprano Felicitas Fuchs who has amassed large international experience and acclaim on the concert and opera stage, with performances spanning from four continents and embracing a repertoire from across four centuries. A versatile concert artist and committed recitalist, Felicitas has performed at such renowned venues as Philharmonie Warschau, Herkules Saal and Philharmonie in Munich, the Alte Oper in Frankfurt, UNESCO Hall in Paris, the National Centre for the Arts in Beijing and the Royal Albert Hall London, and has been a welcome guest at national and international festivals around the globe.
