Lucco racing team defends top spot in the championship on home soil
Dubai Autodrome was filled with action-packed sports car racing events, hosting Round 4 of the Radical Middle East Cup 2016 on two consecutive days, Friday 29th January and on Saturday 30th January.
The Lucco Racing team represented by Ludovic Loffreda and Romain Lutter grabbed the Top 1 spot during Race 1 on Friday, wrestling the prime title from 10 teams.
The French duo set a best time record of 2.02.826 in 20 laps on Friday afternoon. This lands the team first place and in podium with the others Jani Hjerppi (second place) and Julian Griffin (third place) on Race 1.
Ludovic Loffreda said: “Today’s race was very intense. Most of the drivers, including us, have familiarized the track here so it all boils down to one’s technique and approach this time.”
The Lucco Racing team is overall winner in 2015/2016 Series Standings of the Supersports Class of the Radical Middle East Cup, besting over 15 drivers over the past 6 races.
“We have two more races to go in February and March. We will intensify our training and aim to take home the winning title this 2016. We plan to enhance and work on our strategy to score maximum points for the next races,” added Romain Lutter.
With unforeseen technical engine failure, Saturday race for 22 laps took Lucco Racing team 2:04.068, as their best time under Supersports class, placing 5th in Race 2.
The next two Radical races will take place on 18th to 20th February 2016 at Dubai Autodrome and on 17th & 18th March 2016 in Yas Marina Circuit, Abu Dhabi.
