November 30th, 2015, Abu Dhabi: TUMI’s week long F1 activation at Palm Court, Yas Mall was an affair to remember – celebrating its partnership with MERCEDES AMG PETRONAS. Visitors were invited to discover the latest collections and get into the driver’s seat with our on-site race car simulators (competitors with the best time stats even won extraordinary TUMI travel sets). Pit girls dressed in TUMI attire were also on hand to wave their racing flags and welcome mall goers to pose for pictures on our ‘winner’s stand’ – complete with trophy, bubbly and racing helmet!
Racing fanatics were pleasantly surprised when German Formula One™ legend and TUMI Global Citizen Nico Rosberg stopped by the TUMI podium on Thursday evening. Arriving at Chalhoub’s concept store Tryano at 7pm sharp, surrounded by bodyguards, Nico was escorted by local brand ambassador Elias El-Indari to TUMI’s interactive F1 podium. Greeted by hundreds of screaming fans, Nico posed for pictures and gave away 50 signed caps to his loyal supporters. While only present for 30 minutes, the racing star caused quite a frenzy. It was mayhem as visitors battled it out to secure a selfie with the champion. By 7:30pm, Nico was seen running out of the mall to his getaway car, with ecstatic fans not far behind.
