Abu Dhabi – 30th November, 2015 – Khalidiya Palace Rayhaan by Rotana in collaboration with Abu Dhabi Centre for special needs people on December 9th and 10th, 2015 is organizing a workshop to raise awareness about children with disabilities.
A two-day workshop, which is open to everyone, will be devoted to making of candles, jewelry, clothes and many other interesting items in the spirit of UAE. All of these fun activities will be done by the girls from the center, Khalidiya Palace Rayhaan by Rotana’s volunteers and anyone else interested in doing something fun and different, and celebrate the rich heritage of this country.
“We aim to achieve the vision of the late Sheikh Zayed Bin Sultan Al Nahyan (may God rest his soul in peace), founding father of the UAE, to make the UAE a community where all people have equal rights and obligations” said Aisha Al Mansoori, Director of Abu Dhabi Center.
Many items made by the children from Abu Dhabi Centre will be displayed and sold during the workshops. This day is marked with celebrations that share the ideals and objectives of the country, and the children from the center and the whole world are the future of UAE and they should be well educated, protected and distinguished on this day.
Abu Dhabi center for special needs people is one of the biggest rehabilitation centers of the kind in Abu Dhabi. Promoting full independence for special needs children, providing the right education, counselling and rehabilitation is the centers main goal. Today, they are working with over 700 beneficiaries helping them to get into the community and live the life they want and deserve.
