WHAT: Vilebrequin SS 16 fashion show and beach party
WHERE: Eden Beach Club, the Palm
WHEN: Tuesday, November 17th, 2015
ABOUT: The luxury French resortwear label Vilebrequin that is mostly known for its iconic turtle prints celebrated the launch of its latest SS 16 collection in an exclusive St. Tropez-themed fashion show held at Eden Beach Club.
Dubai’s most fashionable crowd including socialites, VIPs and members of press were welcomed by the CEO of Vilebrequin, Roland Herlory, who flew to Dubai for this special occasion. Guests were treated to a chic evening inspired by the 1970’s St. Tropez from where Vilebrequin first originated.
The venue was transformed into French Riviera and recreated the look and feel of legendary Café Senequier, one of St. Tropez’s most famous spots where Fred Prysquel, the founder of Vilebrequin, sketched out and designed the first swim shorts on a piece of tablecloth.
Drawing inspiration from the painters on the quayside, the strolling vacationers and street performers, the Vilebrequin SS 16 show brought the atmosphere of St. Tropez to Eden Beach Club.
The happy and playful spirit of the new collection with multi-colored prints, optical effects and imaginary landscapes whisked off the guests on new adventures with Vilebrequin as models casually strolled on the catwalk to the sound of French beats from DJ Keza. A light summer breeze ruffled the beautifully printed fabrics of beach tunics, casual dresses, shirts and silk scarves.
Guests continued the night with entertainment including a photo booth featuring the iconic Vespa motor scooter set, a tattoo artist offering the brand’s famous turtle prints and a fashion illustrator.
The new Vilebrequin SS 16 collection will be available in the stores across the region from December 2015.
