Dubai, United Arab Emirates, 8th of November, 2015: Game Evolution, one of the leading eSports events in Middle East & North Africa (MENA), concluded yesterday with the participation of a great number of video gamers who came from different regions of the world like India, Pakistan, Lebanon, Qatar, Kuwait, Saudi Arabia, Egypt, and Europe.
The last day of the event has witnessed the announcement of the winning teams in the two major and widespread PC games within the community: Dota 2 and Counter Strike: Global Offensive. Winners of the Dota 2 Tournament where the Lebanese team “e-Lab” and the 1st place winners of Counter Strike: Global Offensive where the Kuwaiti team “RvN” who came back home with a trophy and cash prize worth 25,000 AED.
In addition to that, the last day at Game Evolution has also witnessed the announcement of the winners in the four different console games which were FIFA 15, Mortal Kombat: X, Ultra Street Fighter IV,and Super Smash Bros. Khalid Al Manossri took the 1st place in FIFA 15 Abdalaziz Adel Aljawder won the 1st place in Mortal Kombat: X, Adel Anouche took the 1st place in Ultra Street Fighter IV, and Rashid Alharmoudi won the 1st place in Super Smash Bros.
Commenting on the importance of hosting an event like Game Evolution, Eng. Game Evolution brought together the community of gamers in the region all while promoting healthy competition. It was the ideal platform for international, regional and local professional gamers and talents of all ages to compete against one another in different games and across different platforms.
Game Evolution has also witnessed the participation of Zero Four LLC, the Dubai-based company that created the Dubai Drift game, which was declared App of the year in App Store 2014 lists. Reviewed by more than 200,000 players, Dubai Drift 2 currently runs on more than 850,000 smartphone and tablets around the world.
On the sidelines of their participation in Game Evolution, Faraz Mobin, game’s lead developer said: “From the response we have received from the visitors at Game Evolution, we have decided to build exclusive Dubai Drift 2 PC game on STEAM with added exciting features, functionality, and add-ons that most of the gamers expecting. We hope that our fans will love the Dubai Drift 2 PC version more than they loved our iOS and Android Versions.”
