A Playfully, Attractive Scent

 

Perfumer Mary Pierre Julien of Givaudan created floral woody amber that captures the GUESS woman’s vibrant energy.

 

“For the creation of Guess Double Dare, I was inspired by the icon and ultimate representation of American glamour, Marilyn Monroe. She captured everyone’s imagination with her beauty, style, playful free-spiritedness and her bold daring attitude” says Julien. “Her immaculate look was always carefully crafted; she spent hours in front of the mirror perfecting her persona. I wanted to capture all of these qualities with a ‘bold’ attention to detail when crafting this new Guess Double Dare fragrance.”

 

Guess Double Dare is a beautiful juxtaposition of skin to skin-like sensuality combined with a modern and provocative femininity. A first impression of sparkling tangelo mingles with juicy wild strawberries and sweet aromas of exotic lychee to create a tantalizing scent. The heart features a narcotic layer of jasmine blended with bright green notes of muguet and violet leaf. The ultimate culmination of the fragrance is revealed with base notes of sheer amber, creamy vanilla and dry vetiver.

 

Top notes: Tangelo, Wild Strawberry, Lychee

A Fearless Package

 

Designed by Lance McGregor, the Guess Double Dare bottle maintains the legacy of the Dare pillar.  Its delicate, soft curves and edgy faceting introduce the signature bottle in a new golden hue. The bottle’s neck is adorned with a gold chain featuring the Guess logo, while the iconic Guess triangle can be found in the shape of the cap.

 

The rich denim history of Guess continues to be portrayed through the deep indigo denim carton, giving Double Dare its darker vibe.  The carton is embellished with stylish gold studs, while the traditional Guess logo is interrupted with the brand’s signature red lipstick, pushing the boundaries of the new flirtatious packaging.

 

Double the Fun

 

Photographed and directed by Yu Tsai, the Guess Double Dare advertising campaign focuses on the model duo featuring Megan Williams and Natasha Bernard.  Both clad in Guess outfits, they have conquered the Hollywood Hills shopping scene and are ready to see where their next adventure takes them.
