Abu Dhabi, UAE – 14th October 2015: Yas Mall, the Capital’s ultimate fashion destination, has launched Abu Dhabi’s first Fashion Week on October 14th, to coincide with the a series of international fashion weeks in various iconic locations including London, New York, Milan and Paris. Residents and tourists in Yas Mall will witness the unveiling of stunning new fall and winter collections from spectacular global fashion brands for both men and women, with 16 runway shows from 13 brands styled to suit all tastes.
Yas Mall Fashion Week will kick off on October 14th, with presence on day two from popular GCC female icon Taim Al Falasi, followed by fashionista Fouz Alfahad on October 17th, then renowned beauty and fashion expert and television presenter, Joelle Mardinian for the finale on October 18th. Visitors to the show will enjoy key themes in the Autumn/Winter collections, including romantic, modern retro, pop spirit, 70s bohemian-chic, modern geometric and west coast winter.
The week will commence with runway shows from European brands, Sonia by Sonia Rykiel, Laurel and Weill, which have their only Middle East outlets at Yas Mall. With an inimitable Parisian and Saint-Germain-des-Prés touch, Sonia by Sonia Rykiel will be displaying the latest from their Autumn/Winter collection. Additionally showcasing their Autumn/Winter collection is Weill another Paris based designer, recognized as the pioneers of the ‘ready-to-wear’ category. The first day of Yas Mall Fashion Week will conclude with German based fashion house Laurèl, with looks inspired by legendry Bond girls such Ursula Andress and Kim Basinger.
Also for the first time in the Middle East, Debenhams will be showcasing their new women’s wear designer brand, Nine by Savannah Miller, offering a stylish chic wardrobe from day to evening. The department store also boasts a number of collections, created exclusively for Debenhams, including Star by Julien Macdonald, Principles by Ben Del Lisi, Jasper Conran, H by Henry Holland and a brand new up and coming designer Todd Lynn.
House of Fraser will be showcasing a collection of local and international brands from its iconic portfolio, with other half the looks exclusive to the renowned premium department store, including abayas from popular Ush Boutique, denim trends from 7 For All Mankind and the latest autumn must haves from Label Lab.
Also showing will be the Spanish fashion brand, HOSS Intropia, with lines inspired by Bohemian, Hindu inspired folk fashion, urban basics, tweed & tartan. Ted Baker and BCBG will be revealing their glamorous evening dresses, while Morgan De Toi highlights the pop spirit of the sixties and the Bohemian atmosphere of the seventies. Visitors will also enjoy spectacular trends from Parisian brand Gerard Darel, European brand Promod and premier bridal house ESPOSA. Juicy Couture is also introducing its first Abaya to the brand’s Middle Eastern customers, mixing a traditional Arabic style with Juicy Couture’s signature glam.
Throughout the the week, guests can enjoy special promotions following their shows, such as a special promotion at Debenhams, vouchers upon purchase at House of Fraser and a VIP weekend at Gerard Darel, during which customers will get a complimentary styling session with Farah Kabir from Dresscode. During Yas Mall Fashion Week brides can also enjoy a special family & friend promotion and sale at ESPOSA until 17th October. Additionally, BCBG, Laurèl and Weill are offering exciting gifts upon purchase.
Yas Mall Fashion Week will offer residents and visitors to Abu Dhabi a spectacular experience, which will be followed by an exciting series of events throughout the month of November in celebration of Yas Mall’s first anniversary and the upcoming F1 season.
