G-Star RAW for Spring/Summer ‘16

Celebrating the 20-year anniversary of the first jean constructed using the 3D Denim method; G-Star is releasing a range of new Elwoods. A symbol of innovation in itself, the Elwood continues to evolve for summer into new fits and fabrics. Shifting from its original 90’s loose fit (also updated to a cut-off 1Ž2 version), this season offers three fits for men; super slim, slim and tapered. For women the icon comes in a low-waist boyfriend fit, high-waist flare, and ultra-high super skinny. Highlights include the men’s 5620 3D Tapered jean and women’s G-Star Elwood Oversized Low Boyfriend jean.

Dungarees and Flares

This season sees focus on new styles with workwear roots, including dungarees in Red Listing Madison selvedge denim for men and women, and a broad offering of women’s flares – spanning high-waisted classics, to summer’s favoured kick flares.

Restored Denim

After examining mended workwear from the past, when hard labour quickly wore out garments, G-Star developed Restored Denim: a range that celebrates the art of mending. This season’s Restored styles feature Japanese ‘Boro’ repair techniques and methods borrowed from vintage French workwear.

Deconstructed Denim

Focus on detailed Elwood and Restored styles is balanced by the stripped-back jeans within the Deconstructed range. Pure, paired down and streamlined, stitching concepts are sophisticatedly tonal, and rivets replaced by discreet bartacks – all presented on the brand’s classic 5-pocket 3301 jean.

G-Star RAW first hit the UAE market in 2005 and now has boutique stores in Dubai Mall, Mall of the Emirates, Deira City Centre, Mirdif City Centre, and Ibn Battuta Mall in Dubai – as well as Yas Mall and Marina Mall in Abu Dhabi.
