Helping others is not only a responsibility of life; it is what gives meaning to life. In the spirit of being charitable during the Holy Month, dedicated volunteers from Khalidiya Palace Rayhaan by Rotana in collaboration with SANID, Makina Communications and The Body Shop paid a visit to Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque for Iftar, where they engaged in welcoming and escorting guests arriving from all around Abu Dhabi to have their Iftar meals at the Grand Mosque.
This charitable event took place on the 15th of July at Iftar time, in collaboration with SANID.
SANID means “support” in Arabic is a robust volunteer emergency response program in the UAE which provides well-trained emergency response volunteers capable of assisting local and national authorities in the event of a crisis or emergency situation.
Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque is a central place of gathering where visitors can get a better understanding of the local culture and religion as well as admire great beauty from just about any angle. This charitable initiative also respects Sheikh Zayed’s legacy and demonstrates United Arab Emirate’s tradition in lending a hand to each other.
“Our corporate social responsibility is an integral and crucial part of Rotana’s values. We are driven to operate our business in a manner that encourages positive impact on the community we operate within and to give back to the community in need. We are always delighted to run such charitable activities” says Mark Timbrell, General Manager at Khalidiya Palace Rayhaan by Rotana.
