Paco Rabanne: Spring/Summer 2014 Collection

For his first collection, Julien Dossena is renewing the vision of the Paco Rabanne style. Thus, he is establishing the basis for a new fashion alphabet and showcasing a modern heiress, with the allure of a Françoise Hardy from the 60’s wearing a metallic dress.

Revisited, twisted archetypes compose a modern signature wardrobe: this season, techno bombers and cargo pants mingle with the ubiquitous suit. The color palette also imposes new codes: optic white, cement grey, liquid silver, high tech pastels, and a few strokes of saturated colors. It is a stylistic vocabulary that defines a clear-cut, architectural silhouette, whilst maintaining a fluid linear quality.

The radical collection is imprinted with the Paco Rabanne heritage through its references to Polly Maggoo, the incursion of the “Moulé Giffo”, and as always, metal, a prerequisite of contemporary fashion – appropriating a graphic detail onto a technical textile, quite similar to the chemical element mercury, both sensual and cold.
